The Magallanes Strait is a passage located at south of South America. It is found located among the continental part of South America and the island of Tierra del Fuego and the Cabo de Hornos; is the most largest natural passage and of greater importance between the Atlantic Ocean and the Peaceful Ocean.

The strait was "discovered" in 1520 by Fernando of Magallanes during the first naval crossing around the world.
