Museum Martín Gusinde

Interest of different persons and institutions worried about the diffusion and patrimonial conservation of the island Navarino, Martin Gusinde is founded in 1975 the Museum. The building that was construed in 1974, possesses a surface of more than 230 square meters and part of its picturesque exterior(foreign) aspect owes to itself to the use of wood canteadas (cypress of the Guaitecas).

The Museum was baptized as "Martin Gusinde" in recognition of a priest and scientist of Austrian origin (1886-1969), who was outlined for its trips and investigations realized in the Tierra del Fuego, between the year 1918 and 1924.

In this museum the history of the culture shows itself kawésqar, yámana and onas (selknam), Aragay is located in street corner Gusinde. It is possible to visit the museum from Monday until Thursday from 10 to 13 and from 15 to 18 hours (o'clock). On Saturdays and Sundays heattends between 15 and 18 hours (o'clock). The entry is liberated.

   Church "Nuestra Señora del Carmen"

Carmen gave this name to an image of Our Lady of, since the seamen who were risking in these isolated regions, in fragile crafts, in the main were loberos. Carmen was inaugurated by the enthronement of the Virgin of, on October 18, 1967. Its is characterized by its peculiar exterior architecture.

The image belonged(concerned) to Quirihue de Chillán's parish, where it(he,she) was from the foundation of this parish, the year 1749. Later it was acquired by Ms Maria Ossa de Errazuriz, by request of the Bishop of Magellan, Monsignor Vladimiro Boric.

   Club de Yates Micalvi

It has approximately more than one dozen of yachts, which come to the pier Micalvi every season, which realize trips to the snowdrifts and the Antarctic one, its passengers are principally European, contacted in its country of origin, which there come from Punta Arenas, Chile, to realize its circuits.

Between(Among) those of more permanency in the zone there can be mentioned to the sailboat Santa Maria, which realizes trips to the Antarctic one, glaciers of Darwin's mountain chain and Cape Horn. Besides the sailboat Vitory Yacht Cruises, which offers tour for the Cape Horn, fiords, channels of Tierra del Fuego and the Antarctic one.
